UWB TWR characteristics:
- More suitable for higher-precision tracking with small amounts of objects
- Higher power consumption than TDoA: shorter battery life per UWB tag 5-10 cm accuracy for static or slowly moving objects 20-30 cm accuracy for moving objects Up to 150 meters range with optional long-range UWB anchors (up to 1200 meters)
UWB TDoA characteristics:
- More suitable for larger amounts of objects to be tracked
- Lower power consumption than TWR: longer battery life per UWB tag
- 50-80 cm accuracy for moving and static objects
- Up to 150 meters range with optional long-range UWB anchors (up to 1200 meters)
RTLS algorithms and data protocols:
- Levenberg-Marquardt with Kalman filtering for the multilateration algorithm
- JSON over MQTT as the main RTLS data protocol
- Default coordinates: (Lat,Lon,Alt) output in EPSG:4326 system
